Welcome to Stanborough Chorus

Thank you for visiting the Stanborough Chorus website. I’m delighted you’ve taken an interest in our choir, and I hope you’ll discover what makes Stanborough Chorus such a special part of our local community.

We are a friendly and enthusiastic group of around 50 singers, bringing together sopranos, altos, tenors and basses through a shared love of music and singing. At the heart of what we do is classical choral music, from the great composers and their timeless masterpieces to the excitement of performing alongside talented soloists and orchestras.

Throughout the year, we present a programme of professionally accompanied concerts, offering our audiences the opportunity to enjoy wonderful live music. Our summer and Christmas performances bring a lighter-hearted touch, with familiar favourites and seasonal music that allow us to celebrate the joy of singing together.

As Chair, I’m particularly proud of the friendships, commitment and community spirit that make our choir what it is. While we work hard to achieve high standards in our performances, we also believe that singing should be enjoyable, rewarding and open to everyone who shares our enthusiasm for music.

You don’t need to audition to join us! Whether you have sung in choirs for many years or are simply curious about trying something new, you will find a warm welcome. Joining a choir is a wonderful way to meet people, develop your confidence and experience the satisfaction of creating something special together.

Our choir continues to thrive thanks to the enthusiasm of our members and the support of our audiences. We are always delighted to welcome new faces, whether as singers or concertgoers, and we look forward to sharing many more memorable musical experiences in the years ahead.
